Shand hails form Skipton Building Society, where he worked as its director of financial strategy for five and a half years.

Previous to this, he worked in the mortgage and insurance divisions in various roles at Lloyds for seven years and at HSBC for just shy of six years.

Shand has also joined Tipton’s board.
