The Juno Beach Pier and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center is back open for business. The 990-foot-long fishing pier and the sea turtle research and rehabilitation center has reopened to the public as of Monday, May 18th.
The pier closed back in March when Palm Beach County shut down the beaches. At the pier, social distancing guidelines are expected to be followed and 200 people are allowed on the pier at one time. The Pier will resume its normal operations, sunrise to sunset Monday through Sunday. All transactions will be conducted through a partitioned window to eliminate contact. Masks are not required to be worn at the Juno Beach Pier.
The Sea Turtle Research Hospital will resume their normal hours form 10 am to 5 pm with a limited guest count. Guests are required to wear mask and the staff at both the Pier and Marinelife Center are required to wear masks.
Additional sanitizing, social distancing signage, hand sanitizer stations, hourly cleanings and health and safety policies have been put in place to keep everyone healthy.
In alignment with the state’s reopening, the Juno Beach Pier and the Loggerhead Marinelife Center are pausing all public programs, prohibiting access to certain indoor spaces, reducing guest counts in retail spaces and offering curbside pick up for online orders.
