Sirius Finance has appointed William Lloyd-Hayward as managing director, after Brightstar Financial took control of the lender last week.

Lloyd-Hayward will lead Sirius while retaining his post as group chief operating officer at Brightstar Group.

Last Wednesday, Sirius co-founder and managing director Nicholas Christofi left the business to start a new mortgage venture.

Brightstar reacquired his shareholding in the business for an undisclosed sum, making Sirius a wholly-owned subsidiary of the group.

At Brightstar, Bradley Moore becomes group deputy chief executive alongside his role as managing director of Brightstar Financial. Clare Jupp is appointed group chief people officer, while Rob Jupp remains group chief executive.

Sirius managing director Lloyd-Hayward says: “There is enormous potential for a business like Sirius to create bespoke solutions for clients, particularly as the economic landscape becomes more complex.”

Brightstar group chief executive Rob Jupp adds: “Will has demonstrated enormous capability as a leader, even at a young age. I have every confidence that he will inspire the dynamic and hugely talented team at Sirius to strive towards even greater success.

“This is the start of an exciting new era for Sirius and we look forward to sharing more news about the ongoing growth of the Brightstar Group in the coming weeks.”
