Leeds BS appoints Alvarez as national intermediary development manager Mortgage Finance Gazette

Leeds Building Society has appointed Andy Alvarez as national intermediary development manager.

Alvarez joins with 25 years of experience in the industry. Previously he has held senior positions with Morgan Stanley, Nationwide, Mansfield Building Society and Vida Homeloans.

Most recently, he served as the head of division for Partner Finance at St James’s Place.

In his new role, Alvarez will be responsible for the delivery of the sales strategy for intermediary mortgages and managing the field-based relationship management team in the South of England and Northern Ireland.

He will lead the society’s intermediary team to support its broker partners.

Alvarez says: “I am excited to work alongside the talented colleagues who are driving the business forward, and look forward to building and developing teams within the mortgage distribution function.”
