Whistlebrook has successfully achieved the ISO 27001 certification, the international standard for information security management.
ISO 27001 is an international standard that defines the requirements for an information security management system (ISMS).
An ISMS is a systematic approach to managing the security of information assets, such as data, documents, systems, and people. ISO 27001 helps organisations to identify, assess, and treat the risks related to information security, and to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulations, such as the GDPR. ISO 27001 is important because it provides a framework for achieving cyber-resilience, operational excellence, and customer trust.
Whistlebrook chief executive David Webber commented: “We are delighted to announce our ISO 27001 certification, a testament to our ongoing commitment to information security. This achievement is a reflection of the dedication to excellence that we strive for across all areas of our business.
“We believe that ISO 27001 certification is not only a milestone, but also a continuous journey of improvement and we will continue striving to enhance our information security performance to further solidify our position as a trusted leader in the sector”.
He added: “Achieving ISO 27001 certification was not something we undertook lightly, it required a lot of dedication, hard work and collaboration from all our employees and stakeholders. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this success and supported us throughout the process, including our external auditor, for their rigorous and independent assessment of our processes. “
