Target Group is officially launching the Mortgage Hub, its mortgage originations system.
Over two years in development, the system has been built to be user-centric rather than product-centric.
The lender and broker get a single view of what is happening on every case so both know exactly what is happening at any given time without the need for extra emails, phone calls, notifications or chasing.
It was developed after many months of research where Target spoke to brokers, lenders, conveyancers, surveyors, and borrowers. They carried out workshops and in-depth user testing, taking on-board everything the users in the mortgage application journey wanted and built the Mortgage Hub based on this.
Target also utilised behavioural scientists to design the user interface to ensure users did not experience cognitive overload, presenting information in a way that increases engagement and supports high throughput.
Mortgage Hub is modular by design and has a single base code with all releases being deployed to the base code allowing lenders the option to accept the release with the associated functionality or not.
The hub enables a broker or lender to just key information once. It will link with other systems and platforms including panel managers, CRM systems, product, and criteria sourcing systems.
Target Group managing director Katie Pender says: “We thought carefully about the design of the Mortgage Hub to make it as easy to use as possible. It has been a long time in development and pilot in order to ensure that it is as close as possible to what people throughout the mortgage industry say they need to make their lives easier. This means the process is now simpler and quicker for borrowers and all involved”.
