Make your way to the waterfront this Saturday night for the 26th Annual Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade. The boat parade starts from the Lake Worth Lagoon in North Palm Beach and makes its way north to the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Hundreds of boats have already registered and are preparing to be all decked out with holiday lights, decorations, and music.

The Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade is the largest public holiday event in Palm Beach County. Thousands of spectators line the waterway to view the holiday cheer from their waterfront homes, waterfront restaurants, numerous parks, and public areas along the water.

The Boat Parade is led by fireworks, so you will know when the parade is getting closer to your viewing location. For the past 21 years, the parade has partnered with the US Marines Reserves Toys for Tots organization and will be collecting toys this holiday season. If you have a toy that you wish to donate during the boat parade, wave a flashlight or light whenever you see a boat with a flashing amber beacon light or a Toys for Tots sign.

Where to Get the Perfect View of the Parade:

Along the parade route there will be plenty of public parks and places to go and enjoy the parade. Public viewing spots include Juno Park, Bert Winters Park, Waterway Park, Sawfish Bay Park, Jupiter Riverwalk, Harbourside Park, Harbourside Place and Lighthouse Park.  Waterside restaurants and bars with a view include U-Tiki, Waterway Café, Seasons 52,  Jetty’s, Square Grouper Tiki Bar.

During the parade, bridges crossing the intracoastal will be opened for periods of 45 minutes or longer to allow the boat parade to pass through continuously.  Each bridge is estimated to open at different times to allow for traffic to continue. So, it is best to get to your viewing spot early to avoid missing out on the much-anticipated parade.

The event is rain or shine. Parade begins this Saturday, December 5th at 6 pm at the North Palm Beach Inlet and is expected to arrive in Jupiter around 8 pm.
