Boater Safety Class This Saturday In Jupiter

The River Center in Jupiter teams up once a month with the United States Coast Guard for a Boater’s Safety Course. The Safety Course is aimed for young adults and teens by all are welcomed to attend and learn more about safety on the water.The class is taught in a lecture style class by the US Coast Guard Auxiliary “Flortilla 52”. The State of Florida and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation requires that any person wishing to operate a vessel of 10 horsepower or more and is born after January 1st, 1988 must complete and pass a Boater Safety Course and receive their Boater Safety Identification Card. The Safety Course is free to attend but a $10 dollar deposit is required to reserve your spot in the class. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the class. When the class is finished, those who attended are asked to complete and pass the Florida Boater Safety Exam to receive their temporary Boater Safety Identification Card which can be used immediately. The Boater Safety Identification Card will be mailed a few days later.
