The Mortgage Advice Bureau has partnered with Smoove, enabling its advisers to access conveyancing comparisons and related home-buying support services.

Smoove will now offer its comparison services to MAB’s 2,000-plus advisers via its own web platform and through connect APIs. MAB will also integrate Smoove’s solutions on its MIDAS platform. The agreement includes DigitalMove onboarding for MAB customers to interact with their chosen professional specialists.

Smoove CEO Jesper With-Fogstrup says that by connecting to its systems, including DigitalMove, MAB brokers will have access to a panel of more than 70 audited and benchmarked conveying firms.

Smoove, which was founded in 2003 and is listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM), is currently in extended takeover talks with rival Australian tech firm Pexa Group. The outcome of these talks is not expected to conclude until the middle of this month.

MAB chief executive Peter Brodnicki adds: “Through the addition of Smoove’s solutions, we are providing advisers with extensive choice of conveyancing firms through a seamless technology process. The onboarding portal, DigitalMove, will help advisers to stay in control of the conveyancing process and ultimately put their customers into a stronger position.  We believe this greater choice and the underlying technology will promote even better outcomes for consumers.”
