In this new role Hayward will help create products that appeal to estate agents. Just Move In, a fintech company, aims to manage essential administration for home movers and help them reduce bills.

Hayward, who was chief executive of the estate agent division of Propertymark for seven years, will join the company at the end of this year.

This announcement follows the company’s appointment of John Browett as chairman. Browett has held a number of chief executive roles, including chief executive of Dunelm Group, Dixons Retail and tesco.com.

Hayward has previously represented the property industry to both government and the media, calling for business rate relief for estate agents and supporting members affected by Covid-19.

He said it was an exciting time to be joining a technology-based property company with the housing market buoyant and demand for new customer-led services increasing.
