The international tech firm says since 2013 it has developed MSO into a leading UK mortgage origination software platform, supporting seven lenders and processing around £30bn of mortgages a year.

Iress chief executive, mortgages, Andrew Simon says: “I am really pleased that after a comprehensive search process over the last couple of months, Steve Green will move to the mortgages business as our head of engineering.

“Steve was heavily involved in creating MSO – which has become the UK’s leading mortgage origination software.

“Over the past few years, he has been lending his considerable knowledge and skills to the task of modernising Iress’ product architecture and readying teams to adopt cloud technology.

“I’m pleased he will be coming back to lead engineering within our mortgages business at a crucial time when we’re experiencing extraordinary demand for our software.”
