The Mortgage Mum has joined forces with a new investment platform specifically designed for women.
Propelle was founded by former Goldman Sachs executive director and wealth adviser Ayesha Ofori and officially launched yesterday, 25 September.
The platform aims to revolutionise the investment landscape, equipping women with the tools, education and community to help them achieve financial freedom.
Propelle was also founded as a movement aiming close the gender wealth gap and empower women to take control of their financial futures. The platform has to-date raised over £1.2m of pre-seed funding, with 90% of the most recent investors being women.
The Mortgage Mum founder and chief executive Sarah Tucker says Propelle will be referring its members to the broker and the businesses will be collaborating on female-focused financial events and webinars.
“Propelle feels like a really exciting company for us to partner with right now,” says Tucker.
“Their values align with ours, and their movement is one we want to contribute to alongside our own. Women are so powerful when they come together, and I have a feeling that this is going to be a significant milestone moment for Propelle, and for us.”
Ayesha Ofori says: “Mortgages were deliberately the first area we decided to work on, because it’s something women are repeatedly asking us for. They don’t know who to turn to and they don’t know where to go. They need someone they can trust, and so we wanted to give them great people that we can recommend that they work with.”
