Halifax raises rates by up to 30 basis points | Mortgage Strategy

Halifax Intermediaries has hiked rates on home mover and first-time buyer deals by as much as 30 basis points

The lender emailed brokers to notify them of the pricing changes to a number of products at between 60 and 80 per cent loan-to-value.

In its two-year fixed rate range the following deals have increased:

  • 75 per cent LTV fix at 1.43 per cent raised by 0.25 percentage points to 1.68 per cent with a £999 fee
  • 80 per cent LTV fix at 1.63 per cent raised by 0.3 points to 1.93 per cent with £999 fee
  • 75 per cent LTV fix at 1.33 per cent increased by 0.28 points to 1.61 per cent with a £1,499 fee
  • 80 per cent LTV fix 1.59 per cent increased by 0.03 points to 1.62 per cent with a £1,499 fee

In its three-year fixed rate range the following rates have risen:

  • 75 per cent LTV fix at 1.66 per cent has increased by 0.03 points to 1.69 per cent with a £999 fee
  • 80 per cent LTV fix at 1.92 per cent has risen by 0.02 points to 1.94 per cent with a £999 fee
  • 85 per cent LTV fix at 2.46 per cent has increased by 0.3 points to 2.76 per cent with a £999 fee

The lender has also increased rates on the following five-year fixes:

  • 60 per cent LTV fix at 1.45 per cent has been raised by 0.3 points to 1.75 per cent with a £999 fee
  • 75 per cent LTV fix at 1.68 per cent has increased by 0.23 points to 1.91 per cent with a £999 fee
  • 80 per cent LTV fix 2.61 per cent has been raised by 0.16 points to 2.77 per cent with a £999 fee
