Realtors I've grown to admire and respect

I've had the opportunity to work with, observe, and learn from many different realtors throughout my career, and so the timing feels right for me to acknowledge at least a few of them. By no means is this an exhaustive list. This is just a nice start on a long list of realtors whom I've grown to appreciate and respect.

Here's the list (for starters): 

Chris Venden, who is always kind and who always has good intentions for others. 

Shelley Lazzareschi, who seems to always have a positive attitude and a sincere willingness to help. 

Ann Raschein, who is constantly nurturing positive relationships by helping and serving others. 

Maureen Moran, who is a wonderful listener. 

Tony Tucci, who is exceedingly generous and always rooting for others, even his "competitors". 

Liz Lauer and Liz Quinn, who are always advocating for their clients and with a high degree of professionalism. 

The Team at Alvarado Real Estate, for using their work as a platform to influence needed change. 

Jeff Minter, who is always studying the market and refining his market expertise. 

Ashton Gustafson, who is constantly leaning into his intuition and listening to what it tells him. 

What they all have in common

The thing about all of these professionals is that they are all amazingly consistent with their approach. And I believe one big reason behind their consistently is their decision to practice real estate in a manner that "feels right" to them. They aren't trying to follow someone else's formula, and they aren't trying to appeal to every potential customer. They all have a clear sense of what they value and who they're here to serve. 

Given this, here are some questions that we might ask ourselves about our own careers:

1) Who are the real estate professionals who we've come to admire and respect? And what are the traits that we would choose to describe them? And what do our answers to these questions tell us about ourselves? 

2) What are the aspects of our current approach to real estate that "don't feel right" to us and are not a good fit for our own unique personality?  

3) If we were to practice real estate in a manner that inspires and motivates us (in a way that "feels right"), what would that look like? 

4) We can't possibly appeal to everyone, so given this, how would we describe our ideal customer? 

5) How does knowing our ideal customer inform our daily approach to real estate? 

And a bonus question:

Who are the people outside of the field of real estate who we've come to admire and respect? And what are the traits that we would choose to describe them? And what do our answers to these questions tell us about ourselves? 

The beauty of these questions is that the answers will be unique for each of us. And when we take time to reflect on each question, we give ourselves permission to grow into a new and truer direction.
