South Florida residents and seasonal residents remember the general election is Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there are daily changes to voting information. Please check vote.org/covid-19 for the latest updates. Here is what you need to know to cast your ballot and make sure it is counted.
First and foremost, as in years past, voter identification requirements will be strictly adhered to. If you are voting in person in Florida, you must present one valid form of ID that shows your photo and signature at the time you vote. If you are not voting for the first time in Florida, you do not need to provide ID to vote by mail. Also, if you are a first-time Florida voter who registered by mail and you didn't provide ID when you registered, you'll need to provide a photocopy of one form of ID along with your mail ballot.

Vote in Person: If you will be voting in person, voters are encouraged to use masks while in the polling location. In jurisdictions where voters’ masks may need to be removed to support identification procedures, alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol should be provided at the station so voters can sanitize their hands after removing their masks. A plastic barrier between the voter and the poll worker can provide additional protection. Vote by Mail: You can return your voted mail-in ballot by mail or via a drop box.
