Young departed L&C Mortgages, where he was chief executive, in March this year, having joined in September 2022.

Prior to taking on the L&C Mortgages role, Young was the founder and managing director of conveyancing and survey panel management business, Optimus, for four years. 

During his career he also spent two years as chief commercial officer at John Charcol  and worked for ULS Technology for seven years, leaving as business development director. 

Confirming the Simply Conveyancing appointment in a LinkedIn post today, Young said: “Having had an amazing four months with my family, I’m delighted to announce my new role as chief commercial officer (CCO) at Simply Conveyancing!”

The firm also posted a note on the appointment to LinkedIn, which read: “As Simply embarks on an exciting journey to expand into new markets, Alan’s extensive experience across various channels will be invaluable.

“His impressive background in mortgage broking, including his role as CEO at L&C Mortgages – the largest mortgage broker in the UK – and his leadership as managing director at Landmark Optimus, positions him perfectly to help us achieve our strategic goals.”
