If you are looking for something fun, safe, and socially distant to do this weekend, here is a list of just some of the fun events going on in South Florida.

Show on the Go – West Palm Beach

Head over to Currie Park in West Palm Beach this Saturday night and watch Grease in the park. The outdoor movie event is a drive-in movie featuring the 1978 classic hit. Tickets must be purchased in advanced and can be purchased online here. The gates open at 6 pm and the movie will begin at 7 pm, get your tickets before it sells out.

Visit the Power Up Exhibit

The South Florida Science Center and Aquarium has the Power Up Exhibit which is a maker’s paradise filled with battlebots and drones. Visitors to the exhibit can race drones, control flight simulators, watch battlebots and get a chance to use a 3D printer.  The exhibit is at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium until September 13th.

Explore the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens – Delray Beach

The museum and gardens feature two sides, a 16-acre area that surrounds the two museum buildings that include an expansive Japanese garden with pathways, resting areas, a world class bonsai collection, koi ponds and other wildlife. The other side is a bigger 200-acre park that features nature trails, a pine forest, and picnic areas. The gardens are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.

Watch a movie at the Hard Rock Stadium

The Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins is hosting their new summer drive in movie event. All movies will be held at the Open-Air Fountain Plaza at 6:45 pm. This weekend, you will get a chance to watch three movies. The movies include: Friday, August 14th Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, Saturday, August 15th Fast and Furious, and Sunday, August 16th Wizard of Oz.
