Just Mortgages recruited 37 new brokers in June, who are split between its employed and self-employed divisions.

The firm says that 19 brokers graduated from its training academy and joined the employed division.

The new CeMap graduates are from varied backgrounds and will be based in estate agency branches, where they will continue to receive mentoring.

The remaining 18 brokers have joined the self-employed division with many years’ experience in the industry.

Each of them come from “more corporate” employed positions and are looking for the freedom to manage their own business albeit with the compliance support and other guidance provided by the larger organisation..

There are now 560 brokers working across both divisions.

Group operations director John Phillips says: “Bringing new blood into the industry is both vital and extremely gratifying.

“Especially when they are as talented as those we have seen enrol In our training academies.

“There is a growing demand from skilled brokers to find a different employment route to those they have been used to.

“Our self-employed division gives them that opportunity to take control of their careers and support them to make their business goals come to life.

“It is a key aspect to our ethos to provide brokers with options whatever route they want to take, be that employed, self-employed, telephone only, home working or even specialising in new build, protection or wealth management.

“To see the Just Mortgages team growing, month after month, is incredibly rewarding and I look forward to welcoming many more brokers in the future.”
