Birmingham Bank has appointed Paula Priest as new national account manager and Katie Newell-Tucker as head of marketing as part of their recruitment drive for the growing lender.
Priest and Newell-Tucker will join the commercial team in driving the strategic growth of Birmingham Bank as a new lender within the specialist BTL mortgage market.
Priest was previously the national accounts manager at Foundation Home Loans and head of sales at TML.
Newell-Tucker was previously head of marketing for five years at Foundation Home Loans, an underwriter at the Halifax and a mortgage broker and marketer at John Charcol and Mortgage Force.
Birmingham Bank has also recruited a number of underwriters and promoted Andy Virgo to the role of director of sales, to drive further expansion into the specialist BTL lending market. As part of the sales team, Priest will report into Virgo, who previously held roles as Buy to Let director at LendInvest and senior roles at InterBay.
Birmingham Bank chief commercial and product officer Nick Moss, (pictured with Priest, Virgo and Newell-Tucker), commented: “We are very pleased to have Paula and Katie on board. They are heavy hitters in the industry who understand the focus we have on service to our brokers – and building a specialist property brand that can really have an impact.”
