One of Southeast Florida’s most treasured state parks is just about a two-hour drive from Palm Beach County. The Everglades National Park is the third largest national park, and the biggest tropical wilderness in the United States. Everglades National Park is an American national park that protects the southern twenty percent of the original Everglades in Florida. The Everglades National Park is located at 40001 State Road 9336 in Homestead. The park has two seasons: the wet season and the dry season, so plan accordingly. There are three entrances to Everglades National Park, and they are not connected, they are accessed through different areas of south Florida. The Everglades National Park is a massive 1.5 million wetland acre. There are more than 2,300 miles of natural habit for birds, snakes, alligators, the Florida panther, and other wild creatures. The park also is a wonderful place to visit, tour, hike, bike, bird watch, fish, and kayak. The park also has campgrounds, restrooms, concession stands and boat ramps. During the course of the year, the Everglades National Park presents dedicated events such as Shark Valley Tram Tours, Trail Talks, and Glades Glimpse. The park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All Park visitors are required to pay an entrance fee before entering the park. The entrance fee does not include tours or rental fees. Click here to purchase a park pass online.
