The Loggerhead Marinelife Center has recently added their popular Guided Turtle Walks back to their events calendar this June. On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights join the Loggerhead Marinelife Center to visit with the sea turtles and get a chance to witness the sea turtle nesting process on the beach.

The Guided Turtle Walks is a unique program that allows guest to witness and observe the egg laying process of sea turtles and learn all about it. The walks require approval from the state and during the event an experienced member of the Loggerhead Marinelife Center staff search the beach for sea turtle while visitors learn about the process at the center. Once the talks are complete and the sea turtles are spotted on the beach, guests are guided down to the beach to witness the process.

Juno Beach is one of the most populated sea turtle nesting spots in the world. Every day during nesting season, the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s staff monitor the beach for sea turtles. Sea Turtle Nesting Season begins in March through the end of October.

The Guided Turtle Walks are recommended for those 10 years old or older and costs $20 dollars per person.

Guided Turtles Walks are every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday night beginning at 9 pm. To register, click here.
