Specialist short-term lender Hope Capital has appointed two new business development managers (BDMs) to its sales team.

Sam Lea will oversee the firm’s cases across the Midlands. Lea has worked in financial services for seven years, with roles at Dudley Building Society and ML Financial Consultants.

He holds a CeMAP, DipFA, and CeRER qualification from the London Institute of Banking & Finance.

Kim Parker joins Hope Capital as an internal BDM and has an extensive track-record in sales positions, with over 11 years working at Barclays. At Hope Capital, Parker’s role will be to continue to grow the business and take on increased business volumes.

Hope Capital director of sales Roz Cawood says: “As we continue to expand and develop our proposition, our recruitment process has had to be highly selective, ensuring we are best positioned to move the business forward. Sam and Kim tick every box – they both have a deep understanding of the specialist lending sector and reflect the values we strongly believe in.

“We are delighted to have been able to bring both individuals on board in our Sales team and I feel very confident they will hit the ground running at Hope Capital.”

Cawood herself joined Hope Capital from Masthaven Bank in June 2021.
