The latest act to perform at June’s Ukraine Aid fundraising event has been revealed as Lea Karasavvas, managing director of Prolific Mortgage Finance.
Karasavvas will perform two Robbie Williams songs at the concert on 30 June at the Lafayette Concert Auditorium in Kings Cross, London, for which a last few sponsorship opportunities remain.
“Kevin (Duffy of Mortgage Force) got in touch to see if it would be something I would be happy to do and when he mentioned the cause it was something I leapt upon,” says Karasavvas.
“It’s an incredible cause and something that we all want to aid in whatever way we can. Reality has kicked in a little now and nerves keep me awake at night of the prospect of performing, but the element of nervousness is something that pales into insignificance when you consider what many are going through. The trauma and turmoil being experienced by millions really puts in to perspective what we are trying to do.
“As an industry, we always come together for good causes and this is something that we all want to help with, so whether it is a finalist of The Voice or someone who once sang a tune in a playground in front of three people, we are all honoured and humbled to do anything we can to help a country in desperate need of aid and hope it goes just a small way, to help what is an incredibly testing and trying time for millions. “
Last week, it was announced that winner of The Voice Ukraine 2013, Anna Hodorovskaya, will perform at the event as well as The Mortgage Mum’s Sarah Tucker.
