According to the society the accolade represents the highest standard of workplace engagement.
The accreditation was awarded following a survey compiled by the Best Companies, which was answered by colleagues.
The results then generate a score that decides the awarded star accreditation, as well as the potential overall placement in the list of Best Big Companies to Work For in 2021.
David Cutter, chief executive of Skipton Building Society, said: “It is a great honour for Skipton to be awarded this 3-star accreditation, especially after such a challenging year for all businesses across the UK with the impact of COVID-19.
“This accreditation is a testament to the world class people at Skipton that constantly excel and continue to be one of many reasons for Skipton’s success.
“Our people have amazed me over the past 12 months in how they have gone the extra mile, adapting to the new way of working and continued to support each other and our customers.
“We will continue to be dedicated to supporting our people, providing opportunities to further develop their skills to ensure every colleague strives to be their best and find new ways to build on our colleague engagement.”
