Convey Law has kickstarted the appeal with an initial £15,000 donation.
The Foundation said that all funds donated will go straight to the official DEC Ukraine Appeal. This brings together 15 of the leading UK aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas.
The Foundation is appealing to estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders and conveyancers to support the appeal and promote it to their staff and clients to help raise thousands of pounds and support people desperately in need of help. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
The minimum donation via the lotto is £10, with members of the public donating via this channel having the chance to win £500.
The Foundation says a donation of just £30 will help provide hygiene supplies for three people for one month, £50 provides blankets for four families and £100 provides emergency food for two families for one month. Companies that pledge £1,000 or more will be marketed on the Foundation Appeal webpage.
Conveyancing Foundation spokesperson Nicola Lancaster says: “By participating in the Foundation Charity Lotto you will be raising funds that will help DEC charities in Ukraine and neighbouring countries meet the needs of all the refugees and displaced people.”
