Brokers eager to say their piece, survey feedback shows | Mortgage Strategy

The feedback from brokers who have taken part in the Broker Experience Survey 2022 highlights a desire to have their thoughts listened to, according to Jeff Knight.

The Grey Matter Marketing Solutions director, who is the brains behind the survey currently being carried out in association with Mortgage Strategy, says that over 300 brokers have taken part so far, alongside 20 hours in in-depth interviews, and that this is the message coming across most clearly.

He explains: “It has been fascinating talking to so many different brokers. They are at the sharp end and say it how it is… their views are extremely constructive and will be really helpful for so many lenders.

“When I am talking to the brokers, they are delighted that someone is taking the time to listen to their thoughts. However, one key message is that brokers really want the market to sit up and listen to them in order to ensure better customer outcomes.”

Knight continues: “Indeed, one broker put it quite succinctly when he said: ‘I hope this makes a difference’. Brokers are instrumental to a successful and flourishing market, so the more they are listened to, the more effective and efficient the market becomes.”

The survey runs until 16 September, with the findings shared with lenders and others in the mortgage industry.
