Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries has announced the expansion of its residential mortgage lending into Scotland. This is the first time the society has offered products north of the border.

Brokers in Scotland can now access Hinckley & Rugby’s full range of residential mortgage products, including Income Flex and Credit Flex.

The launch is initially available through PMS Mortgage Club and Sesame Network, both part of Sesame Bankhall Group, with wider distribution planned at the end of the summer.

There are no changes to product criteria and Scottish borrowers will have access to the same proposition already available across England and Wales.

Hinckley & Rugby’s residential product range includes:

Income Flex: for non-standard or complex income, including self-employed borrowers with one year’s accounts or using net profit.

Skilled Worker Visa: criteria include no minimum UK residency, no minimum income requirements, and no minimum time remaining on the visa.

JBSP and lending into retirement, up to 95% LTV on selected products and   manual underwriting with no credit scoring.

Buy-to-let products remain available to brokers in England and Wales only.

Commenting on the expansion Hinckley & Rugby head of mortgage sales Laura Sneddon said: “This is a significant step in opening up access for more brokers and clients, and we’re proud to bring our full residential proposition to Scotland.”
