mio strikes deal with CoreLogic to help agents improve efficiency

CoreLogic, which is a provider of consumer, financial and property data, will supply mio with data on every property listed on the UK’s property portals, including Rightmove, Zoopla and OnTheMarket.

The data removes the requirement for agents to add the details of their properties to mio, saving them valuable time and further simplifying the process of building a chain. Property records within mio will automatically update when a property reaches ‘sold subject to contract’ status.

The announcement comes following the recent launch of the mio chain view API which, via a simple integration, allows all parties involved in a sale or purchase to benefit from a single view of the chain.

mio has also recently started to benefit from mortgage broking and property search updates from two of the UK’s leading providers and is expected to add a further two significant data feeds within the next six weeks.

Emma Vigus, managing director of mio, said: “Agents love mio, but we know they don’t like having to enter property details into mio once a property reaches sale agreed.

“We’ve listened to their feedback and we’ve responded. The combination of mio’s ability to visually represent data via a simple sales progression platform and APIs combined with CoreLogic’s expertise in data sourcing and analysis creates huge potential and we’re looking forward to developing the relationship.”

Stewart McRae, sales director of CoreLogic UK, said: “We aim to empower the Property Services industry through technology, data and connectivity.

“mio’s aim to speed up residential property transactions through the smart deployment of data and technology is completely aligned with ours.

“They are a natural partner for our business, as we build on our well-established presence within the UK surveying industry and, a natural complement to our emerging suite of products for estate agents.”
