Together has promoted financial services expert John Barker to chief executive of its personal finance division, which covers mortgages and loans.
Barker joined the specialist lender last July as the group’s chief operating officer, where he oversaw the upgrade its digital services for brokers and personal finance customers.
He has almost two decades of experience in financial services, working for Target Group for just under two years, leaving as chief executive last year.
Prior to that, he worked at Capita for 14 years, leaving as a managing director of the group in 2021.
Barker says: “As personal finance chief executive, I will be driving forward the division, working with more mortgage brokers, financial intermediaries and customers to promote Together’s brand and products.”
Together Personal Finance chair Richard Gregory says: “He [Barker] brings extensive experience to this role and his internal move is a testament to his rapid impact and commitment to Together.”
Together’s second Business division includes commercial and bridging finance as well as portfolio landlord loans.
The group has a loan book valued at £7.4bn and includes first charge and consumer buy-to-let mortgages, second charge loans and regulated bridging finance.
