TAB has appointed Stephen Wasserman as the chief operating officer of the real estate finance and investment firm.

Wasserman, a co-founder of West One Loans, “will take more of an active role in the day-to-day operations of the company”, after joining the business as a director in October 2022.

The firm adds that Wasserman will focus on “driving TAB’s lending activity and ensuring that the business runs effectively”.

Prior to joining TAB, Wasserman worked as the managing director at West One Loans for 14 years, overseeing more than £3bn in lending and managing its operations and credit risk.

He also founded the National Housing Group, where he helped lead efforts to buy and develop high-quality social housing.

Wasserman is a long-term business partner of TAB founder Duncan Kreeger, and the pair have collaborated on a range of ventures over the last two decades.

Duncan Kreeger says: “We are confident that he [Wasserman] will continue to drive our strategic initiatives forward and contribute significantly to TAB’s ongoing success.

“His expertise will be invaluable in supporting our consolidation and growth to provide the best possible outcomes for our borrowers and investors.”

Wasserman adds: “Duncan has built TAB with a strong foundation and a clear vision for the future. I am confident that we will continue to innovate and lead in the property finance market, driving significant value for our clients and investors.”
