The much-awaited Ukraine Aid event took place on Thursday, to great acclaim.

The day of musical entertainment, provided by acts from within the mortgage industry as well as professionals, raised an impressive £25,000 for Ukrainian orphans.

There were many highlights on the day, including a touching performance of the Ukrainian national anthem by Anna Hodorovskaya, winner of The Voice Ukraine in 2013.

LiveMore Capital’s Pat Bunton, a sponsor of the event says: “What a truly awesome experience, congratulations to all involved,” while Sara Palmer of The Mortgage Lender, another supporter, says: “Ukraine Aid was just insanely good!  Thank you to all for pulling together the best industry event ever. That’s no exaggeration!!”

Coreco managing director Andrew Montlake, who performed on the day says: “The attention to detail combined with the incredible talent of all the musicians involved made this an event at which I am privileged to say, ‘I was there’.”

Following the success of the event, Mortgageforce managing director Kevin Duffy, organiser of the event is looking to hold similar fundraisers for other worthy causes in the near future.

Duffy says: “The generosity of the sponsors and attendees on the day was truly humbling.

“A respite is now sorely needed but with so much talent & bonhomie on show, an encore at some future point is not out of the question”
