Previously, Waddington worked as director of intermediary distribution and partnerships at OneFamily.

He has also worked at Guardian Financial Services, British Friendly and PruProtect (now Vitality).

In his new role, Waddington will continue to develop and implement the distribution strategy and work to enhance brand awareness and product proposition.

Starting on 5 December, he will replace Andy Peters, who has been interim director of distribution since November last year.
