Get outside and get some exercise.  Bike, run or walk the Lake Trail in Palm Beach. The Lake Trail travels from the south end of the Australian Docks at the Royal Palm Bridge at Southern Blvd and travels north, past the Flagler Memorial Bridge for several miles. It is a great walk, jog, or cycling trail.

The Lake Trail features a few spots for fishing as well as just sitting under a tree and reading a book. Admire the boats at the Australian Dock, they are from all over the world. The Lake Trail then crosses the bridge and travels behind the Society of The Four Arts. The Society of the Four Arts is a non-profit charity organization that was founded in 1936. Its campus on the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Beach and is home to the Esther B. O’Keeffe Gallery Building. The Society of the Four Arts is one of Palm Beach’s oldest and most respected cultural destinations. As you continue north, you will come to the Flagler Museum, formerly the home of Henry Flagler. Henry Flagler's Gilded Age estate in Palm Beach, was "more wonderful than any palace in Europe, grander and more magnificent than any other private dwelling in the world." Today, Whitehall is a National Historic Landmark and compared to the grand estates of Newport, RI. The trail ends here briefly, but picks up again at the Flagler Memorial Bridge, where you can walk under and then continue north behind some of the most beautiful homes on the Intracoastal Waterway.  The views are simply spectacular at sunset!

This long, flat trail extends for several miles from just south of the campus of the Society of the Four Arts and extending to the northern end of Palm Beach island. The views of the Intercoastal Waterway, downtown West Palm Beach are unmatched.  The Lake Trail is shaded in the morning and in the warm sunshine in the afternoon.  Best of all, the Lake Trail is a free activity for all to enjoy on bike or foot.
