HSBC has lifted its cashback offers for borrowers who buy or invest in energy-efficient homes.
The high street bank says customers who take up one of its energy-efficient home products — these include properties with an energy performance certificate rating of A or B for residential, first-time buyer, home mover and remortgage deals — will receive cashbacks ranging from £750 to £2,250.
This previously ranged from £500 to £750 for two or three-year mortgages and £1,250 for five-year mortgages.
HSBC UK head of mortgages Oli O’Donoghue says: “We are committed to helping our customers secure the best deals as they navigate the property market, whether they are getting onto or moving up the property ladder.
“The energy-efficient home cashback is paid in addition to any other incentives the customer may be eligible for.
“This increase has been designed to promote sustainable choices while rewarding customers who have, or wish to acquire, a more energy-efficient home.”
