Access Financial Services has created a new role of head of later life and appointed Adrian Brewer to the position.

Brewer is a former branch manager at Mortgage Advice Bureau Later Life and has around 30 years of experience in financial lending including 20 years at Beech Finance.

Three key priorities for Brewer are to expand the firm’s later life proposition, to develop awareness among advisers of the benefits of later life lending and to drive new business opportunities in the later life market.

Commenting on his appointment Brewer said: “It’s great to be back in the intermediary marketplace and heading up the new later life business at Access FS. I am passionate about later life lending and looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with the talented Access FS advisers. Adviser education is a large part of my role.”

Access FS founder and CEO Karl Wilkinson said: “Adrian is a great asset to the business. He will develop our later life offering, streamline our processes and further embed our deep-seated culture of holistic advice across the group.”

Brewer’s appointment follows the firm’s September announcement of the appointment of Nicholas Jones to the newly created role of mortgage sales and marketing director.
