The state of play for male and female homeowners and investors

While more single males have taken out loans than female, the number of single female loans is actually increasing at a faster rate than male loans.

What’s also interesting when considering that, is that even while more females are beginning to borrow, on average, male borrowers have an annual income of about $25,000 higher than female borrowers.

As for the females when they’re borrowing together, they’re borrowing to live. Joint female loans are more likely to be for their own occupancy than joint male loans, while men borrowing together are more likely to be doing so for investment purposes than females who are borrowing together.
