YBS Commercial Mortgages has made three new appointments to its business development team.

Chris Butler and Barry Dillon are leaving their internal roles as relationship directors to join this  team, while Thomas Mac Donnchadha Hill joins from Accord Mortgages, the intermediary arm of Yorkshire Building Society, where he has worked as a BDM for 10 years.

YBS says these appointments will enable it to better support broker engagement and increase the lender’s reach in the commercial lending market.

YBS says this BDM team is the first point of contact for the lender’s panel of brokers. The team’s focus is on delivering a fast turnaround on new lending enquiries and offering support across the product range.

It adds that these new team members have a wealth of knowledge and experience across the market. They will work with existing members of the business development team, including the head of business development Mike Davies and the business development managers, Chris Gagg, Andrea Cotton and Christian Gooderson.

The team will be based across England and Wales to allow them to maintain direct contact with broker partners.

Davies says these appointment would support growth in the commercial lending market. He adds: “This year we’re aiming to grow our broker panel. This recruitment drive supports our ambition in this space. I am confident that our enhanced team will deliver the excellent levels of support our broker partners expect from us.”
