Lloyds Banking Group has hired Frances Cassidy as head of strategic & technology partnerships.

She will join the lender in the summer, replacing Claire Cherrington who left in March to join Sesame Bankhall Group to lead its directly authorised businesses.

Cassidy will report to Lloyds Banking Group managing director of intermediaries Esther Dijkstra.

She joins from Barclays, where she is currently head of mortgage intermediary partnerships.

In that role, Cassidy oversaw the bank’s national accounts strategy and led the national account teams across both the Barclays and Kensington brands.

Cassidy has twenty years of experience in financial services; starting her career with Chelsea Building Society before moving into leadership roles with Principality Building Society, Countrywide and Kensington Mortgages.

Dijkstra says: “Frances brings many years of intermediary industry knowledge which will further strengthen my leadership team and help us innovate and grow for the future.”

Cassidy adds: “It’s an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and collaborate with our strategic partners to deliver exceptional experiences for our mortgage customers and intermediaries.”
