Xpress mortgages will partner with Paradigm Consulting to access it range of compliance and consultancy support.

The Surrey-based brokers, which is directly authorised, will use Paradigm’s support  tools which cover compliance audits, reviews of processes, functions, policies, and documentation as well support with training staff, training and competence, and staff assessments.

Paradigm’s team of consultants also offer offer bespoke support and guidance on the Consumer Duty, tailored to individual firms’ requirements and are adept at preparing and assisting firms with regulatory change.

Xpress Mortgages was established by Rachel Lummis in 2006 and offers whole-of-market services to a full range of mortgage clients, including first-time buyers, home-movers, buy-to-let landlords and investors, clients with specialist lending needs, and the provision of mortgage protection.

Paradigm technical director Christine Newell says: “In today’s world of regulatory change, it is almost impossible for firms to navigate the myriad of changes and requests for data from the FCA without external support.”

She added she was delighted Lummis had chosen Paradigm to support Xpress mortgages through these changes.

Lummis adds: “As a directly authorised firm we needed to appoint a firm for compliance support that understands the needs and requirements of a small but busy mortgage brokerage.”

She said Mortgage Xpress has had a relationship with Paradigm for a number of years via their mortgage distribution proposition. She added the firms brokers had also attending Paradigm’s workshops and training covering Consumer Duty.
