Vida Homeloans head of intermediary Helen Cawthra is set to leave the lender to take on a new role in the industry.

Cawthra has worked at Vida since November 2021 when she joined as corporate sales manager. She took on her most recent role in December 2022.

Her departure comes as Vide Homeloans announces the enhancement of its distribution model as part of a multi-year mortgage transformation programme.

The model, which has been developed alongside a number of intermediary partners, sees the bank invest further in the mortgage experience and strategic support it delivers to clubs, networks, packagers and firms.

As part of the new model, all aspects of the mortgage experience have been moved into one expanded team, all reporting into Vida’s chief operating officer Tommy Wright.

To support the evolution of the model, Vicky Birkby will become director of strategy and partnerships, building on her current role of driving the lender’s mortgage strategy and growth plans.

Vida chief of mortgage operations Deb Smith will continue to lead and strengthen the lender’s decisioning excellence team.

Vida chief executive officer Anth Mooney says: “The banking licence authorisation was just the start of our journey to become the UK’s most trusted Specialist Mortgage Bank.”

“Our new distribution model further enhances the Vida experience for all our partners, and we are committed to investing in delivering exceptional service and proposition development.”
