Iress has appointed Stephen Cowdell as he rejoins the business to take on the role of senior business development manager.
With more than 20 years of experience in financial services, Cowdell has worked with UK networks, mortgage clubs, digital advisers and online aggregators.
Most recently, Cowdell worked at 360 Lifecycle as head of intermediary sales. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Iress as a key account manager.
In his new role, he will support firms using Iress’ sourcing technology, including The Exchange and Xplan Mortgage.
Iress head of business development Warren O’Connell says: “I am delighted to welcome Stephen back to Iress. His deep understanding of the market, combined with his experience outside the business, will be a real asset to our clients and to Iress as we continue to evolve our mortgage and protection proposition.”
“Stephen has built strong relationships across the industry and will play an important role in supporting both existing clients and the increasing demand for Xplan Mortgage.”
Commenting on his appointment, Cowdell states: “Iress has always felt like home. My experience at 360 Lifecycle, including extensive exposure across sourcing systems, strengthened my understanding of the mortgage technology market and reinforced what differentiates Iress – its proposition, people and partnership-led approach. I’m excited to return at a time of continued investment in mortgage technology and increasing market demand.”
