Halifax integrates with Submissions Brain | Mortgage Strategy

Halifax Intermediaries has joined Mortgage Brain’s new multiple-lender applications platform, Submissions Brain.

The solution uses lenders’ application programming interfaces (APIs) to enable brokers to submit cases for decisions in principle (Dips).

Initially the platform, previously known as Lendex, will offer access to Halifax via a limited number of adviser firms including Just Mortgages and Fluent Mortgages, before it is rolled out to the wider market.

Other lenders to integrate with the Submissions Brain include Accord Mortgages, TSB, Nationwide Building Society, Virgin Money, Coventry Building Society and Platform, with others set to join in the coming months.

Submissions Brain was opened up to all intermediaries earlier this year following a pilot.

It is integrated with both Sourcing Brain (formerly Mortgage Brain Anywhere) and Mortgage Brain’s customer relationship management (CRM) system The Key.

This means that advisers can pre-populate forms with client and property details.

Submissions Brain is also available as a freestanding platform for those who do not subscribe to the other solutions.

Halifax Intermediaries head Ian Wilson says: “We are always keen to identify ways to better support our intermediary partners.

“We’re delighted to be involved with Submissions Brain, which will allow mortgage applications to be transferred seamlessly to Halifax through direct system integration.”

Just Mortgages operations manager Jessica Brome says: “Our advisers have reported real benefits from engaging with the Submissions Brain platform in both the time spent over submissions and their overall efficiency.

“It’s wonderful to see a large lender like Halifax acknowledge how this technology can aid with mortgage advice and ensure that we can provide a more satisfying experience to our clients.”

Mortgage Brain sales and marketing director Neil Wyatt says: “The addition of Halifax to the Submissions Brain gateway will be welcomed by intermediaries who are already seeing the significant time savings that the platform can provide.

“It also sends a clear signal that lenders recognise the benefits that Submissions Brain delivers.”
