Hometown Heroes appreciation day is Saturday, June 18, 2022, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The event will take place at Cox Science Center and Aquarium located at 4801 Dreher Trail North, in West Palm Beach. The museum was previously known as the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium.

Hometown Heroes include Veterans, Active-Duty Military, First Responders, Gold Star Families and up to four of their guests. Heroes must provide valid identification.

To salute the hometown heroes will include:

-        Military vehicle demonstrations

-        Meet and greet with local armed forces

-        Live science demonstrations

-        Military demonstrations

-        BBQ for the heroes and their family

-        Dunk the heroes in the dunk tank

-        And more

Additionally, on display May 21st - September 4th, 2022, is the Mindbender Mansion. You are invited to enter the puzzling world of Mindbender Mansion, a place full of brainteasers and interactive challenges that will test the brainpower of even the most experienced puzzlers!

Then, take a glimpse into the world of science with Images of Science, a collection of 20 remarkable images showcasing the research of Max Planck Society scientists from around the world.
