Pexa has hired Rob Hosier as head of conveyancer relationships, following the roll out of sales and purchase functions to its digital property exchange platform.

It says Hosier (pictured) will oversee the management of its relationships with conveyancers and will report to chief growth officer Matt Joy.

Hosier has 18 years of experience in the conveyancing sector and joins from legal software firm inCase, where he was sales and marketing director.

Pexa adds that Hosier “grew inCase to handle well over 10% of conveyancing transactions in the UK and improved the experience and efficiency of many conveyancing practices”.

The move follows the completion of Pexa’s first digital sale and purchase transaction with Hinckley & Rugby and Muve earlier this year.

The firm says: “Combining the capabilities of both solutions, Pexa can now facilitate 70% of all property transactions in the UK.”

Pexa UK chief executive Joe Pepper says:  “Conveyancers are overworked, constantly at maximum capacity operating in a market of intense consumer demand.

“The fact is that the back-end infrastructure that supports them is not fit for purpose, and adds to their stress rather than helping them deliver the outcomes they want for their clients.

“As an ex-conveyancer, Rob has firsthand experience of these issues, and to have him on board is testament to the fact that we’re addressing them in the right way for the UK market.”

Hosier adds that he is “passionate about reducing the stress and pressure conveyancers face.

“The job gets harder every year, and I am joining Pexa with a shared belief that we can start to make it easier, safer and even more enjoyable to convey property.”
