Paragon Bank has appointed Eloise Potts and Stephen Harrison as business development managers within its mortgage division to support brokers in the North West and North East of England, respectively.
Potts joins Paragon from Aldermore, where she also worked for more than eight years, and before moving into a BDM position, started off as an underwriter.
This has helped her to support brokers with first-hand experience of what lenders are looking for when writing business.
Harrisons brings a broker’s perspective to Paragon, having previously worked at London and Country for more than eight years.
During this time, he held advisor, team manager and training and development roles, before going on to set up his own brokerage.
Both BDMs will report to regional manager of mortgage sales Sam Debenham.
Commenting on the new hires, Debenham says: “It’s fantastic to welcome Eloise and Stephen to the team. Having worked in BDM, broker and underwriting roles means that their knowledge and experience couldn’t be better suited. They know how brokers like to work and how they don’t so are well placed to support them.”
Earlier this month, Paragon Bank reported that new buy-to-let loans jumped 25.1% to £812.2m in the first six months of the year compared to 12 months ago.
