First 2022 Friends of Jupiter Beach Cleanup

The "Friends of Jupiter Beach" first 2022 beach cleanup is slated for Saturday, January 15, 2022, 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM at Ocean Cay Park. in Jupiter. Volunteers and supporters of the environment are invited to meet at the Anita Lankler Pavilion. The beach cleanup helps maintain our beaches for generations to come. For more information visit the FJB Facebook page. The volunteers will clean a 2 1/2 mile stretch from the Juno Beach Pier to the southern edge of Carlin Park. The specified crossovers are at 22-59.

When you arrive at Ocean Cay Park:

-        Sign in and get a lottery ticket for a chance to win a thank-you prize.

-        Grab provided gloves, grabbers, and small bags.

-        Join a team.

-        Team Captains are in orange shirts and have instructions for cleanup areas. Some sections may require driving or walking.

-  Collect debris on the beach, along walkways, under crossovers, in parking areas, in the park, etc. Recyclables will be sorted upon return.

-  Please arrive in closed-toe shoes, hats, sunscreen, bug spray. No flip-flops, please.

-  Do not leave collected items on the beach or roadside. Help Team Captains dump into large black bags or blue recyclable bags.

-  Everyone is requested to sign in at the Anita Lankler Pavilion! There is no need for individuals to register in advance. Students desiring school community service credit must check-in promptly at 8:00 a.m. to receive 1.5 hours Community Service credit.
