TSB increases rates by up to 0.30% - Mortgage Strategy

Further to its product withdrawals announced late yesterday, TSB has detailed the rate increases it has made.

From today, for home purchases, the 80 per cent LTV to 85 per cent LTV two-year fix has seen its rate pushed up from 2.54 per cent to 2.79 per cent and the five-year fix, available at the same LTV range, from 2.34 per cent to 2.59 per cent – both increases of 25 basis points.

Meanwhile, for remortgages, a selection of two- and five-year fixes within the same LTV range have seen interest rate rises of 0.20 per cent.

Shared Ownership products have also received upward rate changes, with the 75 per cent LTV to 80 per cent LTV home purchase product going form 2.44 per cent to 2.69 per cent and various remortgage offerings receiving a 0.20 per cent increase.

Additionally, the shared equity house purchase two-year fixed product at 80 per cent LTV to 85 per cent LTV has had a 0.30 per cent increase – from 2.39 per cent to 2.69 per cent.

At the same time, shared equity remortgage deals of the two- and five-year fixed variety have had 0.20 per cent increases applied.
