Beaven joins Newbury as a qualified accountant and fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants.

Previously, Beaven has served as chief financial officer at Simplyhealth.

Last year, she also completed an advanced leadership programme with INSEAD Business School and is currently studying for a professional certificate in executive coaching at Henley Business School.

Commenting on her appointment, Beaven says: “For 17 years I was on the board of a leading international engineering consultancy business, before moving into financial services with Simplyhealth. I hope that experience together with my financial expertise will be valuable in serving the board in the years ahead.”
