The company, part of the digital services Tech Mahindra group, says Spencer’s role will be “to expand Target’s sales and reputation among the lender community, particularly with regards to Mortgage Hub”.

Its originations system Mortgage Hub was launched in October to provide lenders and brokers with a single view of the application process through the home loan process.

Industry veteran Spencer joins from One Mortgage System, where she was business partnership & growth director for just under a year. In over 20 years in the mortgage market, she has held senior roles at Personal Touch, Twenty7Tech and Finova.

Target Group chief executive Peter O’Connor says: “We spent over two years developing our new state-of-the-art mortgage system.  Since then, we have been making sure that we have the right team in place to really make a difference, both to lenders and everyone we work with.

“Melanie’s appointment is a fundamental one in helping to show the world the next evolution of the mortgage journey assisted by Target.”

Spencer adds that Target “not only has the vision but also the wide array of solutions and resources to make a fundamental difference to the way lenders work.

“This positively impacts the mortgage journey for both brokers and borrowers while enabling lenders to become more efficient, saving them time, money and resources.”
