The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries has launched a broker survey, which will feed into its Protection Viewpoint report to be published later this year.

The trade body says the five-minute survey covers approaches to protection, tools used by advisers, the impact of Consumer Duty and insurers’ service levels.

It points out that its findings will help identify the insurance “opportunities, barriers and challenges from an intermediary perspective”.

The survey closes on 21 August and respondents do not have to be a member of the trade association to complete it.

Association of Mortgage Intermediaries chairman Andrew Montlake says: “The Ami Protection Viewpoint Report has established itself as the most far-reaching insight into the protection market, showing just how brokers and the public interact with the industry.

“In previous years it has highlighted a whole range of trends, challenges, and food for thought that have directly influenced the processes and decision making of many firms within the industry.

“Protection remains one of the most important areas of growth, especially in a post-Consumer Duty world, and broker insight has proved invaluable to ensuring that the sector remains relevant and continues to move forward and adapt to the needs of consumers.”

The Protection Viewpoint report, sponsored by L&G and Royal London, will be published at a launch event on 5 November.
